à rien
for one singer
Thorsten Töpp, 1999
"à rien" follows the last records in Kafka’s
diary and is dedicated to Javier Hagen. This work mingles different
levels of consciousness and time with extreme requirements for
the voice in a virtuous way. - - Having finished his studies
in composition with Wolfgang Rihm and Heiner Goebbels in Karlsruhe,
Thorsten Töpp leads his own projects, directs at the same
time since 2001 "Forum Neue Musik" in Duisburg and
surrounding towns and he is working as a theatre-musician with
Duisburger Akzente 2002 and 2006.
